Mars Meets the Virgo Bound South Node. What are You Letting Go of at Last?

Your story is not about war. It’s about your routine precious life and what must change in fated ways, or you could say it’s the non-negotiable plot points in a script written, not by your personality, but by your soul. This all signs round up covers your journey through the Big Release that a South Node-Mars conjunction typically exacts.

Mars travels Virgo every two years, the South Node, every 18.5 Years. The last time this happened for both was September 6 1970 and Sept 2 2006. You surrendered back then something connected to the Virgo whole sign house in your natal sky.

You are about to do it again. This time at 19 Virgo on July 20th, 2025.

What Nations are Most Impacted?

In the Sept 1970 Conjunction the king of Jordan decided to expel the Palestine Liberation Organization, leading the resistance group to move its headquarters to Lebanon.

This lead to the famous Black September also known as the Jordanian Civil War, an armed conflict between Jordan, led by King Hussein, and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), led by chairman Yasser Arafat. The main phase of the fighting took place between the 16 to the 27th of September 1970, though certain aspects of the conflict continued until 17 July 1971.

Then in the Mars-South Node Meet Up of 2006 this happened.

The 2006 Lebanon War was a 34-day armed conflict in Lebanon, fought between Hezbollah and Israel. The war started on 12 July 2006, and continued until a United Nations-brokered ceasefire went into effect on 14 August 2006, though it formally ended on September 8th 2006 (just as Mars crossed into Libra) and when Israel lifted its naval blockade of Lebanon. It marked the third Israeli invasion into Lebanon since 1978.

What must be noted is the Mars-South Node in the same sign is not just a few day event but rather a six week one. Though a conjunction is a punctuation mark, and maybe a pivot point, the fact is Mars co-present in Virgo brackets that acute moment. Right now, Mars has been with the South Node in Virgo ever since June 17th and remains until August 7th.

“Israel continues its undeclared war on Lebanese territory, bombing civilians, targeting commanders, and refusing to withdraw from occupied land. Don’t forget. The South Node Mars conjunction over the Libra ascendant of Israel in October 2023 is what got us here today.

USA and BITCOIN

The USA Neptune sits very near the spot that this Mars-Node conjunction happens. But more critical perhaps is that Saturn in Virgo in the widely used Bitcoin January 3rd 2009 chart also sits in the same place as the USA tenth house Neptune.

Normally a south node transit is about decrease and Mars about cutting or ending. Add that Saturn is about restriction, and Mars is a malefic, BTC is going through a first in a lifetime “testing.”

That the USA tenth house Virgo Neptune is activated by the conjunction, we can also expect disclosures about deceptive, manipulative or obscured dealings from the executive branch. The Epstein case has been trending, with new evidence from WIRED magazine that the “raw footage” from the prison where Epstein supposedly killed himself, was highly edited. With Mercury retrograde as of the 18th, breaking disclosure news will be about old stories returning.

You and Me and Mars/South Node

For the everyday mortal, this transit is our chance to let go of something with a Mars like decisive strike. We can cut away what is not needed with urgency and precision. But if we resist, well, it will be sheared away nonetheless — the uneasy job, the bad habit, the sour relationship, the untenable home situation.

Mars does not cut away what is needed, but what has rotted.

All said and done, it’s probably wise to petition Lord Mercury, owner of the Virgo real estate, for Mercy.

It helps that Mars is square good girl Venus on Asteroid Ops (opportunity/happy endings after a time of hardship) and that given she is house sitting Mercury’s Gemini abode, she’s eager to please him too. (That’s asteroid Panacea, the cure all, beside Mercury retrograde in Leo).
